upMarket is a platform that allows you to order and pay in advance in retail and hospitality outlets relieving the need to wait.
What's The Story Behind upMarket?
Our founders, as operators, realised that they could build a better platform to work with retailers than was currently available in the market place. With this, upmarket was born
How Does It Work?
To place an order on upMarket, find the retailer or restaurant that you'd like to order from either by looking at nearby outlets or typing the name of the retailer or restaurant into the search bar. Tap the outlet’s name to open the menu, then select the items you'd like to order and add them to your cart by tapping “Add to order”. Once you have everything you’d like to order in your cart, you'll see the estimated pick-up time. When happy tap “Place order”. We'll send the order to the outlet and then they start to prepare the order. We'll let you know what time it will be ready and notify when to pick-up.
Do I Need To Pay Extra?
No, upMarket is completely free for customers, however there are some unavoidable card charges.
Where Can I Use upMarket?
upMarket is currently available in multiple locations in Ireland.
What Do I Do When My Order Is Ready?
Depending if its for delivery or collection. With Collection simply go to the pickup area and let a member of staff you know you ordered on upMarket and you'll be given your order.
How Do I Change My Order After It's Been Submitted?
Message a member of the team through the 'contact support' button on the final screen. As long as the order hasn't been started it should be possible to cancel and re-submit. Once an order is cancelled a refund is automatically issued.
What If I Need To Cancel My Order?
Just message a member of the team through the 'contact support' button on the final screen. As long as the order hasn't been started it should be possible to cancel. Once an order is cancelled a refund is automatically issued. If the order has been started it is up to the restaurant whether the order can be refunded.
When Will I Be Refunded If My Order Is Declined?
Once an order is cancelled or declined, a reverse transfer takes place and a refund immediately occurs.
I'm Running Late, Can I Delay My Order?
You'll have to contact a member of the team through the 'contact support' button on the final screen. We'll get in touch with the retailers or restaurant as soon as possible and attempt to delay, though this is not always possible.
What Happens When I Get A Refund?
When a retailer or restaurant declines an order or when a refund takes place in a short period of time it will appear in the form of a reversal instead of a refund. Therefore the original charge drops off your statement, and a separate credit is not issued. If you look at your statement you should see the initial payment will have disappeared.
Why Can't I Pay In Cash?
Our goal is to reduce the wait time by streamlining the transaction process. By having to deal cash in the store it only adds on to this and delays the experience.
Is The Payment Method Secure?
Yes. Your card details are never shared with anybody. We do not have access to anything but the last four digits of your card number and the expiration date.
How Do I Change My Payment Method?
Tap the navigation in the top left and go to Payment Methods. Here you can add new cards, remove cards by swiping left as well as change default cards.
Do I Get A Receipt With upMarket?
Yes, we email you a receipt once a payment occurs. Your order summary will be in your Order History.
